Jonathan Atwood is a former Fortune 200 senior executive and former Chief Executive Officer of Trillium Engineering, a leading designer and manufacturer of highly-engineered camera gimbals for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) performing mission-critical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

Prior to Trillium, Mr. Atwood served with FLIR Systems, a $1.9B high-technology company focused on intelligent, differentiated sensing solutions, where he led enterprise-wide transformation and the implementation of The FLIR Method and served on the company’s Leadership Committee, consisting of the top 30 leaders across the company, as well as led the FLIR Operations Network.

Mr. Atwood previously served as the OECO President, leading a $90M business unit of Meggitt PLC providing power conversion, power generation, magnetics, and sensor solutions for global aerospace, defense, and industrial customers.  Prior to leading the OECO Business Unit, Mr. Atwood was with L-3 Technologies between 2009 and 2015, most recently as the  Vice President & General Manager, Infrared Products, where he led the company’s uncooled infrared products business and night vision operations.

Prior to joining L-3 Technologies, he held roles with progressively increasing responsibilities in operations and supply chain management, program management, and lean transformation with companies such as GE and Honeywell.

Mr. Atwood graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a BS, Chemical Engineering.  Upon graduation, he accepted a commission in the United States Army, serving as an Infantry Officer with roles of increasing leadership responsibilities.  In 1997, he led a mechanized infantry platoon in Kuwait with the 4th Infantry Division in support of Operation Southern Watch.  Following his return, he continued to serve with the 12th Infantry Regiment in Colorado and, subsequently, with the 11th Infantry Regiment in Georgia.  He later went on to earn an MBA, Finance degree from the University of Colorado.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jon resides in West Linn, Oregon, in the greater Portland metro area.  A lifelong aviation enthusiast, he enjoys flying, hiking, and running.
